Papa’s Pilar Rum Ernest Hemingway Legacy Edition 2021

"Papa's Pilar Rum Legacy Edition 2021," a new limited release from Papa's Pilar Rum, a line of award-winning, ultra-premium solera-aged rums inspired by Ernest Hemingway, has been announced and is now available at QG's Clock Bar.

Ernest "Papa" Hemingway and his boat, the "Pilar," are commemorated with the Papa's Pilar Rum brand. Honoring his legacy as a world-renowned author, hall of fame fisherman, large game hunter, and epic storyteller who was never a bystander when it came to adventure. Every sip of this release celebrates Papa's legacy, crafted to harness his spirit of adventure and thirst for greatness – because a life well-lived is the one worth living.

The new product is made up of a combination of hand-selected rums ranging in age from 12 to 24 years old, finished in rye whiskey barrels and Amontillado Sherry casks. It's the first of a yearly series, and it's going out in select areas throughout the country. Only 22 cases were delivered to Maryland and the QG was allocated 7 of them.

Look. The distinctive rum bottle of Papa's Pilar is based on a World War II canteen, a broad-shouldered and compact design with significant historical links to adventure. It has an original, pure leather refitted canteen wrapped around the bottle stamped with the Papa's Pilar stamp, making it a true collector's piece.

Nose. A semi-sweet nose with layers of spices coupled with chocolate, coffee, and subtle hints of burnt sugar and vanilla.

Taste. A full-bodied mouthfeel that starts sweet with a touch of vanilla and prominent hints of dark chocolate throughout.

Finish. A spicy, semi-dry finish with a touch of oak.

Recommended Serve. Neat or on the rocks | 43% Alcohol by Volume.
