Negroni Week at CLOCK

negroni week at clock restoration the qg

From Monday, June 5th to Sunday, June 11th, CLOCK Restoration will be participating in Negroni Week.  Negroni Week is named after the famed cocktail The Negroni.

The cocktail was created in Florence Italy at Bar Casoni in 1919.  As the story goes, Count Camillo Negroni ordered an Americano with more kick from barman Fosco Scarselli.  The Americano consisted of Campari, sweet vermouth, and soda water.  Fosco replaced the soda water with gin and created a true classic.

With the bold yet refreshing character of the Negroni, the cocktail quickly became a bartender favorite.  In 2013 Negroni Week was born.  Bars from around the world will make negroni styled cocktails giving a portion of each Negroni-esqe cocktail sold to a charity of their choosing.   This is a worldwide event that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

Please join us at CLOCK this week where we will be featuring a new Negroni styled cocktail each day.  Today we will be featuring the original cocktail consisting of equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari.

A portion of our proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry
