QG welcomes Stenströms Shirts to the family of brands that we carry in our retail department. QG loves finding heritage brands with great products that have history and have stood the test of time. Stenstöms founded in 1899 joins Alden shoes (1884), Truefitt & Hill (1805), Barbour (1894), Hunter Boots (1856), Thomas Mason Shirting Fabrics (1797) and Filson (1897) as QG brands founded prior to the 20th century.

Stenströms story begins in 1883 when August Stenström opens his first store in Helsingborg, Sweden.  Since the very beginning Stenströms has crafted high-quality shirts. August’s reputation for making the best, most elegant shirts had spread far and wide. His skills as tailor became so well known and business had grown so large, it facilitated him opening his first shirting factory in 1899. Stenströms continues still as a family-owned company through five generations.

The most stylishly dressed European men wanted a Stenströms shirt. Today, over 100 years later, their reputation for unique quality has spread far beyond the country’s borders. Their attention to detail and sense of quality remain unchanged. Through experience and hard work, they have found the golden ratio between the quality of the shirt and the ability to adapt the shirt to the client's preference –  resulting premium quality and the benefits of tailor-made craftsmanship to the public.

Their pursuit of perfection is relentless as they roam the planet in search of the best materials and the latest design influences – so they can keep developing the shirt and the experience of wearing it. Back home in Sweden they are the preferred choice of the Swedish King and Queen, and have been granted the royal warrant “Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden”.  Stenströms joins Truefitt and Hill, Thomas Mason, Barbour and Hunter as QG brands awarded with Royal Warrants.

The Royal Family: Stenströms has been awarded the Royal Warrant of H.M. The King of Sweden, H.M. The Queen of Sweden and the Royal Court of Sweden.

Each Stenströms shirt consists of 23 components that are cut and assembled with precision. The process involves 60 distinct operations that are checked at five critical inspection stations. Thanks to skilled designers, cutters and tailors, we have refined this technique and perfected our shirts over the course of more than a century.

We at the QG are excited to be Maryland's exclusive Stenströms source and can't wait to introduce you to Stenström shirts and sweaters in person to feel and see this craftsmanship.
