March is a great time to get ready for spring and summer–and spring is a great time to clean out your old wardrobe. However, spring cleaning can be frustrating. How do you know what to keep and what to get rid of? Here’s a quick #lifehack to get your wardrobe ready for the upcoming season:
Take any shirts, pants, or suits–that you struggle with wearing–and turn the open part of the hanger facing outwards. If you haven’t worn the item in 30-60 days, toss it out.
In the meantime, here are our transition style picks and what you should be doing with them:
Peter Millar English Spread Collar. Usually $145. Currently $75.*
Green is the perfect color to use between seasons. Pair it up with dark denim or chinos. Wear it with a sport coat for business casual or roll up the sleeves and use it with a pair of shorts and loafers.
Both Double Monk Straps* and Tassel Loafers* can be dressed up or down. Wear either with a suit and green spread-collar shirt–or slip them on with dark denim and a light jacket for happy hour.
Both the Cowen Commando Jacket and the Coltdale from Barbour offer a light spring, summer, and fall jacket option. Pair the Commando jacket up with auburn chinos and a pair of Red Wing Boots. The Coltadle can be dressed up and acts like a sports coat with its trim silhouette and button spread. Wear it with anything mentioned above.
