United Way’s Project Homeless Connect
On this one day event volunteers last year helped 2,000 people experiencing homelessness get help obtaining housing information, dental care, legal assistance, medical services, haircuts and more. QG’s newest hire, Jaye Ferrone, spent yesterday afternoon and evening giving haircuts to individuals and families facing homelessness in central Maryland. The goal of Homeless Connect is to provide the access to resources they need to improve their quality of life and return to self sufficiency.
The QG would like to thank Jaye for volunteering her time as well as Sam and Lauren, the volunteers from last year. If you are interested in participating in volunteering next year, go their website to learn more. We are planning on participating next year and would love if our clients could join us for this great cause.
