If you have been here over the last few months, most likely someone on our staff has mentioned to you that our bar on the 6th floor is finally open. We classify the bar as a speakeasy, the moniker given to bars during prohibition that had a secret entrance and invited a “select crowd” to imbibe in private company. We are very proud of our QG client base that has been loyal over the past 10 years starting with our grooming shop, expanding into spa services, clothing, a cigar lounge and a tailor shop, so we decided that our “select crowd” would be our clients, giving them an exclusive amenity to enjoy.
In order to stay inconspicuous, speakeasies came up with code names or false businesses. In that tradition, we named the 6th floor bar, C.L.O.C.K. Restoration. The name was derived by the history of the earlier occupants of the building. For many years, jeweler Dahne and Weinstein owned this building with a retail store on the first floor. The store would do watch and clock repair, so the name Clock Restoration was born. In addition, we wanted to signify that exclusivity by turning clock into the following acronym: Clients & Loyals Only Cocktails & Kitchen. A “Client” is anyone who makes purchases or receives services from QG or the Office Cigar Lounge on a quarterly basis. A “Loyal” is a client’s friend who can come as a guest. The bar excels in making the classics as well as our own creations, and finally in the very near future we will be serving lunch, small plates and catering for group bookings. Access is granted through a five digit code entered on a key pad in the elevator. The code is disseminated in person from our staff or an email via email to all current clients as the code changes. Enjoy!
