Bourbon & Bowties (B&B) is The QG’s annual charity fundraiser, held each year on the Thursday following The Kentucky Derby. It raises money to benefit a local Baltimore charity. To date, B&B has raised over $60,000 and has helped Shannon Dudley (a local crime victim), Living Classrooms, National Federation of the Blind, Health Care for the Homeless and Semper Fi Fund. We ask attendees to wear a bowtie during the day of the event to raise awareness for the charities we will be supporting and a sign of commitment to making Baltimore a little more handsome (or beautiful).
Heath Care for the Homeless
Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) works to prevent and end homelessness for vulnerable individuals and families by providing quality, integrated health care and promoting access to affordable housing and sustainable incomes through direct service, advocacy, and community engagement.
Semper Fi Fund
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit set up to provide immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. We direct urgently needed resources to post 9-11 service members within 24-72 hours of request.
Boys Hop Girls Hope Baltimore
BHGH breaks these cycles of poverty by nurturing students to be successful in school, graduate college and be outstanding community citizens. BHGH envisions that one day their parents and grandparents will be the last in their generation to live in fear of their dangerous neighborhoods, feed their children through SNAP, become teenaged mothers and fathers, and be denied access to the education and opportunities that would have allowed them to reach their greatest potential.
