The Swiss are revered for their quality craftsmanship. When it comes to watches, no collection is complete without on of Switzerland’s finest brands from Brietling to Tag Hauer to Omega and Rolex. Which is why we chose Tissot to open a concept shop on our retail floor in 2014. Tissot is one of Switzerland’s most established watch brands, founded in 1853. Each watch is made with the quality and artisanship that has made the Swiss the watchmaker of the world.
Tissot is now an essential part of the Swatch Group, a luxury watch and jewelry manufacturer that includes brands such as Omega, Balmain and Harry Winston. In 1930, Tissot designed the first anti-magnetic watch. This breakthrough began a history of Tissot innovation that continued during the 20th century to today. In 1971, a revolutionary new product was born: the Astrolon. The first watch with plastic mechanical movement and case. This model later inspired what is now known as the Swatch watch. The Tissot T-Touch, created in 1999, was the first touch screen tech watch.
Tissot describes their brand as, “The Tissot innovation leadership is enabled by the development of high-tech products, special materials and advanced functionality. With a broader, more versatile range of high-quality timepieces at an attractive price than any other Swiss watch brand, Tissot also expresses its commitment to making excellence accessible”. The term “accessible excellence” is what drew us to this storied brand, as making excellence accessible is an ideal that the QG strives for every day.
We are excited to offer Tissot watches as a prat of January’s Heritage Suiting Package. The shop on the 5th floor has a tremendous selection of men’s and women’s quartz and automatic watches in stock.
